The History of KJP
In 2012, a nursery playgroup called Jinja Montessori School was founded and the demand for quality education in the area ensured a slow but steady growth. In 2015, the school changed it’s name and became the Kiira Junior Preparatory, Nursing and Infant School. It continued to provide a quality education to children from Jinja.
Towards the end of 2016, the school closed down and was re-opened under the new name of Kiira Junior Prep School by Celia Dippenaar, our current school director. Celia is passionate about growing KJP and offering a high quality of education in a safe and loving environment. In 2018, we located to a larger premises to accommodate our growing number of students.
We currently have over 60 students enrolled through our Toddler to Year 6 classes. Our children are wonderfully diverse in their cultures and we welcome children from all walks of life to join us at KJP.
